About Charles Guo


Charles has more than 7 years of professional experience spanning technology, business and finance within large and small organizations both in Singapore and the United States. In addition to having graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University, Charles also holds Master's degrees from Stanford University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.


Memory Game

Tech Memory is based on the classic 2-player memory game with the exception that the pictures are everyone’s favourite tech icons. It was built using Javascript, jQuery and CSS.

Giarclist (Online Marketplace)

Giarclist is an online community marketplace for products and services. It was built using Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL and Bootstrap. Giarclist runs on S3 and Heroku.

Tradist

( This was a group project done together with my four other team-mates Firus, Hakim, KT and Leok Si ).

Tradist (login as Name:Charles and Password:password to see the charts) is a financial visualization and tracking service which allows users to access historical financial data for a select set of key commodities, indices and equities. Users can sign up for accounts and via JWT authentication, gain access to the data set through an API. Tradist also provides a visual interface with a variety of charts available to investigate correlations.

It was built using Node.js, Express, Plotly, MongoDB.

Pollnow

Pollnow is a real-time polling application for users to quickly create polls and monitor the results of their polls. It was built using Node.js, Express, MongoDB, Socket.IO, Bootstrap and Angular v1.
